Hello again! 😊 I hope everyone’s doing great and having a wonderful day—or night—wherever you are. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but it’s officially my last week as a 10th grader. This year has been a whirlwind—challenging, exciting, and full of growth. There were moments of stress, late-night study sessions, and tough exams, but also lots of laughter, new friendships, and unforgettable experiences. I’ve learned so much—not just from books and classes, but also from the people around me and from every challenge I overcame. I’m proud of everything I’ve achieved, and I’m feeling hopeful as I step into 11th grade soon.
With that in mind, I’ve made some exciting and meaningful plans for the summer, and I’d love to share what’s ahead. One of the biggest highlights is that I’ll be attending the Bocconi Summer School in Milan for two weeks. Bocconi is one of Europe’s top universities, and I’ll have the chance to take courses in both fashion and business—two areas I’m extremely passionate about. In the fashion classes, I’ll get to explore how trends are born, learn about sustainability in design, and understand how branding works in the fashion world. Meanwhile, the business courses will introduce me to marketing strategies, entrepreneurship, and case studies that show how ideas become global brands. It’s a perfect mix of creativity and strategy, and I feel incredibly lucky to be learning all this in Milan—a city that breathes fashion and innovation.
While in Milan, I’ll also be meeting students from around the world, which I’m especially excited about. Connecting with new people, hearing different perspectives, and stepping outside my comfort zone are all part of the journey. I know this experience will inspire me both academically and personally.
Another major focus of my summer will be studying for the SAT exam. I’ve already started preparing, but this summer I’ll be going all in. I’ve set up a daily schedule, with specific goals for math, reading, and writing. I’ll be taking full-length practice tests, reviewing my mistakes, and working on strategies to improve my timing and accuracy. It’s not easy, but I know it will be worth it, especially as I start thinking about college applications in the next year or so.
Alongside that, I’m also hoping to take on one or more internships. Whether it’s in the fashion industry, media, or a creative business environment, I want to get hands-on experience and learn how things work in the real world. I think internships are such a valuable way to apply what we learn in school—and maybe even discover new passions along the way!!!
Another project I’m working on is the early planning of a social responsibility program I want to launch next year. It is about relationships and teen psychology and how abusive relationships may affect a teens psychology at an early age. Giving back and creating positive change has always been important to me. This summer, I’ll begin shaping the vision and goals of the program. I’ll be researching, talking to mentors, and maybe even forming a small team to bring the idea to life during the school year.
Of course, summer isn’t just about work—it’s also about taking time to rest, explore, and enjoy life. I’ll be spending a week in the South of France, exploring beautiful towns like Nice, Cannes, and Eze. I can’t wait to relax by the sea, enjoy fresh pastries and French food, and take in the stunning Mediterranean scenery. Later in the summer, I’ll also be going to Çeşme in Turkey, one of my favorite places to unwind when I was little. I’m looking forward to sunny days at the beach, delicious dinners, and time with people I love.
This summer is a mix of learning, creativity, discovery, and joy ,and I couldn’t be more excited. It’s going to be a full, rewarding few months, and I’m so grateful for the opportunities ahead. I’ll be starting 11th grade with new experiences, new ideas, and hopefully, a stronger version of myself.
Thanks for reading, and I’d love to hear about your summer plans too!
